The Cookeville Drama Center
The Cookeville Drama Center is a fully-equipped, 458 seat live performance theatre owned by the City of Cookeville and operated by the Department of Leisure Services. The facility was built with Model Cities grant money and opened in August 1979. The Cookeville Drama Center houses the Margery Hargrove Auditorium, named in 1989 for the First Lady of Theatre in the area.
The Drama Center staff produces the state, regional, and national award winning Drama Center Backstage series, an annual series of four contemporary plays with variable seating and staging arrangements. In addition, the Drama Center is the home of Cookeville Children's Theatre productions and a variety of special events including The Great TV Auction- the local PBS affiliate (WCTE TV) annual fund-raiser, the Kiwanis Club auction, Tennessee High School Speech and Drama League's regional one-act play competition, Tennessee Technological University Center Stage events, various concerts, forums, performances, pageants, seminars, and has served on several occasions as host of the annual Tennessee Theatre Association AACT/Fest.

The Dogwood Performance Pavilion
The Dogwood Performance Pavilion is located in beautiful and shady Dogwood Park, behind the Drama Center in Cookeville Tennessee. Shakespeare in the Park, Dogwood Fridays, Sundays in the Park concerts, Cookeville Community Concert Band concerts, Jazz in Cookeville, Bryan Symphony Orchestra concerts, and a variety of events take place in Dogwood Park.
Past performers on the Dogwood Performance Pavilion stage include: The Old Crow Medicine Show; The Peasall Sisters, The Cluster Pluckers; The Gypsy Hombres; Liz Johnson; BadaBingBadaBoom; Victor Mecyssne; Amy Wadkins; The Silver Wings Air Force Band, Sean McCullough and Evergreen Street; Blue Mother Tupelo; Lori Mechem, Rebecca Sayre, Jeff Hall, Rod McGaha, Annie Sellick, San Rafeal, Whiskey Richard, Kristine Mylls, and many others.
The Pavilion may be rented for events with the Drama Center Staff.
