Heritage Christian Academy
 Heritage Christian Academy is a non-denominational Christian school serving those families who seek to protect and instill Christian values into an educational system. Our primary mission is to educate the young people who attend our school to develop a strong faith, walk, and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We will use our gifts, talents, and resources in all their forms, coupled with prayer and guidance of the Holy Spirit to be sure that the students who are selected for our program receive superior education. It is our desire that our students grow to be strong believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and that they grow in their intellectual capabilities to become successful in the world with a solid Biblical foundation of God-centered knowledge coupled with educational academic strength that will give students the necessary tools to succeed. Participation in this program is intended to glorify the Name of Jesus.
School Beliefs
 We believe that children learn best and attain the highest levels of achievement:
- In an environment that is safe and nurturing;
- When respect, self-esteem, worth, self-discipline, and dignity are promoted;
- When individual needs. Interest, and learning styles are taken in to account so they engage in purposeful learning activities;
- When they are challenged to explore, discover, and develop risk taking and problem solving skills;
- When students, teachers, families, and the community join together to form an active partnership with high expectations;
- In an enriched environment that promotes curiosity;
- When there is exposure to and acceptance of diversity;
- And when they demonstrate a consistent effort and commitment to their own learning.
Statement of Faith
 WE BELIEVE the Bible is verbally inspired in its original form, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
WE BELIEVE in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father: that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary; that Jesus had a sinless life and performed miracles; that Jesus died as a substitute for us in His death on the cross, was buried, and bodily resurrected from the dead; that Jesus bodily ascended to heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father; and that Jesus’ bodily return is imminent.
WE BELIEVE that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that salvation by grace, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is free.
WE BELIEVE that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior are born again and thereby become children of God.
WE BELIEVE in the Holy Spirit and in His ministry of conviction, regeneration, indwelling, enlightening, and guiding.
WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; that the saved will have eternal life, and the lost have eternal punishment.
WE BELIEVE in the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ.
Our story began in 1974 when our school started as Faith Christian School, a part of Faith Baptist Church. In 1984 the school became independent and was moved to its current location with the name Volunteer Christian Academy. The school name remained the same until 2001 when Heritage Chrisitian Academy was chosen along with our motto "In all things, Christ first" and our school scripture Psalm 127:3 " Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord..." Today our school is comprised of grades Pre-K through 12.
Heritage Christian Academy is a member of Tennessee Association of Christian Schools and American Association of Christian Schools.
