Cookeville High School
 Cookeville High School, a comprehensive educational facility serving 2,242 students in grades 9-12, opened at its present site on September 3, 1996. Staffed with 105 teachers, five school counselors, one part-time technology coordinator, and one administrator with four assistant principals, Cookeville High School is one of the largest high schools in the State of Tennessee.
The overall academic program at Cookeville High School is based on a modified 4 X 4 block scheduling plan instituted in 1995-96 which includes courses in core college preparatory, Advanced Placement, on-line Advanced Placement, technical education, elective areas, and dual credit (high school and university). Honors level courses are offered in the core curriculum areas of English, mathematics, science, history, and foreign language. |

Dry Valley Alternative School
 Nestled in the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains is a small school built in the fifties. This small school became home for Putnam County Alternative School in 1980. Now in its 22nd year, Dry Valley has been described as an old fashioned school where responsibility and accountability are high on Dry Valley's agenda. |
